JESUS CAN HEAL A HURTING LIFE!
We all struggle with problems and hurts on the inside. Maybe we have trouble with anger, jealousy, depression, fear, addiction, or regret. We've noticed destructive patterns that we've fallen into over and over again throughout our lives but we can't seem to make them stop. The apostle Paul wrote of the same frustration at not being able to control his actions "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do...For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it." (Romans 7:15, 18-20) It's time to stop hurting. It's time to end the cycle and break the chains for good.
WHAT IS INNER HEALING?
Inner Healing at Park Church is the application of the whole Word of God and the Cross to the hurts and hang-ups we all carry deep down inside of us. We forgive those we have judged and hold resentments toward. We renounce vows we have made. We reject lies we have believed since childhood. These things are bitter roots planted deep in our hearts that bear the bitter fruits of pain and destructive behaviors. Holding the Truth of the Word of God as absolute and guided by the Holy Spirit, we confess, repent, place our sins on the cross and reckon them as dead. We forgive and are forgiven. In so doing, God removes the root causes of much of our suffering. We can know peace with God, peace with each other, and peace with ourselves.
